WTA的蒙特婁女網賽雙打第二輪，第二種子、海峽組合謝淑薇/彭帥，經過搶七局角逐，以6-3、7-6(2)戰勝西班牙組合穆古拉紮（Garbine Muguruza）/納瓦羅（Carla Suarez Navarro），順利晉級女雙八強。

本站賽事，海峽組合是第二種子，享受首輪輪空待遇。第二輪對手之一的納瓦羅一日雙賽。第一盤，海峽組合開場很快進入狀態，第二局憑藉著默契破發，進而取得4-1領先。隨後的比賽，儘管西班牙組合竭力試圖回破，但是謝淑薇/彭帥始終穩定守住領先優勢，以6-3先勝一盤。

第二盤，穆古拉紮/納瓦羅提升狀態，率先破發取得3-0優勢。隨後4局雙方各自守住發球局，謝淑薇/彭帥第八局保發，第九局表現頑強，頂住西班牙組合的進攻壓力，實現關鍵破發並且保發第十局，將比分追到5-5平，並且6-6平後進入搶七大戰，西班牙組合送出雙誤大禮，謝淑薇/彭帥隨後拿下發球分，緊接著再次完成迷你破發，小分5-1領先，最終以7-2鎖定勝利，激戰1小時14分鐘，晉級八強。
