紅人王牌投手Johnny Cueto繳出8局失2分好投，幫助球隊以3比2險勝落磯，Cueto率先拿下第15勝、獨居大聯盟勝投王。

Cueto今天(16日)面對落磯，投8局被敲出6支安打失2分。紅人直到9局上才攻進超前的第3分，9局下由Aroldis Chapman接手關門成功守勝。

Cueto進帳本季第15勝(6敗)自責分率2.06，擺脫Clayton Kershaw、Max Scherzer、Adam Wainwright等人，獨居大聯盟勝投王。

紅人總教練Bryan Price說：「身為教練，能把比賽完全交到1個人手上，感覺十分舒服。你只需要相信Johnny(Cueto)，不用害怕會輸球。」

落磯Nolan Arenado在第2局從Cueto手中敲出陽春砲，第8局擊出中外野飛球出局後，經過投手丘時跟Cueto有言語上的交換。

Arenado表示，「Cueto跟我說『你錯過這球了』，我認為他是聯盟中最棒的投手之一，Cueto是一頭野獸，當戰局越緊繃時就能表現越好。」
