NBA首出櫃現役 仍未上場

去年4月底勇敢站出來，首位以NBA現役身分宣布出櫃的柯林斯 (Jason Collins)，當時獲得不少人力挺，但本季都過了大半，至今尚未有落腳處，連出賽機會都沒有，引發外界議論，不過，NBA新總裁席佛 (Adam Silver)撇清說，這是各隊戰力考量，與他是否為同性戀無關。>昨天密蘇里大學美式足球「明日之星」沙姆 ((MichaelSam) 宣布出櫃，是否會影響他進軍職業美式足球NFL，仍有待觀察，但柯林斯至今尚未有落腳處的例子，被拿出來做討論。>新任NBA總裁席佛特別出面撇清外界的疑慮，「他沒有被簽約，是因為各隊戰力考量，我們的球隊都想要贏球，直到他宣布退休前，他還是可以繼續等待機會。」席佛並強調，仍為柯林斯感到驕傲，並表達只要在NBA上場，絕對不會讓他有任何不適的情況。
