美國職籃NBA，曼菲斯灰熊以92比89險勝華盛頓巫師，灰熊還落後西區第八的小牛兩場勝差；邁阿密熱火103比97力克鳳凰城太陽，詹姆斯猛攻37分，熱火跨季八連勝太陽。

灰熊的希臘後衛克雷塞斯頂替康利先發愈打愈好，對巫師18分7籃板6助攻，而西班牙中鋒蓋索也拿到18分7籃板，巫師的畢爾以六成三命中率砍進37分包括五個三分球，幫助巫師下半場追回16分落後，但畢爾最後12秒跳投不進，最後一秒華爾三分線也落空以三分飲恨。灰熊的蘭道夫、寇特尼李跟強森各貢獻13分。

熱火前一場翻船敗給爵士，韋德又偏頭痛缺席對太陽比賽，但詹姆斯昭告天下，歷史上除了喬丹、柏德跟魔術以外，自己可以排上第四名，超越了羅伯森、賈霸跟J博士。詹姆斯對太陽上半場只得12分，但下半場猛攻25分，14分集中在第四節，另外九個籃板五次抄截。博許21分8籃板。太陽的格林26分，但籃板球輸給聯盟最少的籃板球隊熱火五個，16次失誤丟掉24分。
